Q: What's the best part of working at Refactr?
A: Working with smart people on cool projects in a fun environment.
Q: Tell us something interesting about your coworkers.
A: We often find ourselves in the middle of accidental contests, like the time(s) we took turns trying to get a foam stress ball to land and stay on a ledge 10 feet off the floor ... which immediately turns into a new contest to see who can get the ball down, so we can do something else with it.
Q: What's been your proudest achievement at the Refactr?
A:Starting and keeping a successful business that I can use as an excuse to do what I love to do - and being able to hire smart people and give them the same opportunity.
Q: If the whole world were listening, what would you say?
A: "I am a Golden God!"
Q: How have agile methods changed how you get work done?
A: Being agile has become a way of life for me - at work and at home. I find myself constantly evaluating the last reasonable moment to make a decision, not worrying about things that aren't a priority, and delegating tasks that I'm not best-suited to take on.
Q: What turns you on creatively?
A: An interesting problem that I haven't tried to solve before. Whether related to a client's business problem or a technology problem, I like the problem-solving process of elimination and creative that process can be.
Q: Who is your favorite musician or band?
A: Radiohead. Every time I listen to OK Computer, I'm reminded that I need to keep that album in rotation more often.
