Q: What's the best part of working at Refactr?
A: For me, it's really the fun atmosphere that we have at the office. I love hanging out with everyone and getting cool things done. It's also, obviously, very fun to see something come to life that Scott, Ben, and I have thought a lot about for a long time.

Q: What's been your proudest achievement at the Refactr?
A: Starting Refactr with no clients and just the three founders leaving our jobs has to be the proudest achievement I've had at Refactr. It was something we had talked about for a long, long time and it was very exciting to be doing it. Number two would have to be getting the office and then having actual employees. Having your own place and other people on board certainly makes things feel much more real.

Q: What profession, other than your own, would you like to attempt?
A: Something in engineering most likely. Funny enough, probably not Aerospace. I just wouldn't ever work for a defense company and that's a lot of the Aerospace industry.

Q: How have agile methods changed how you get work done?
A: In many ways I think a lot of my career was spent doing agile methods before that's what they were called. In the early days we did a lot of things in very agile ways because it was what worked best for us. It was only later that a lot of these things got names like pair programming, DRY, YAGNI, etc.

Q: What is your favorite technology or gadget?
A: iPhone and iPad. It's really stunning how much things have changed since the first iPhone came out. I still find what Apple is doing on the mobile front to be one of the most important things going on in technology right now.

Q: If the whole world were listening, what would you say?
A:Don't take yourself so seriously.

Q: What software or websites could you not live without?
A: Twitter & Google Reader. I have an internet addiction and nothing feeds my need like those two.
